 Abigail Crispin

My name is Abigail Crispin. I grew up in a small town in North Jersey, around twenty-five minutes from New York City. Growing up my friends and I would take the train to the city every weekend, which is a main reason for my love of cities and people! I am a part of a big family; I have four siblings and I am the middle child. I have a black labrador named Hunter and two orange cats! Growing up in a big family makes me want to have a big family of my own one day in the future.

I used to play completive soccer when I was younger and have traveled to many states including Texas and Nevada. I've played soccer since I was five years old up until I was eighteen. I have played on multiple teams and levels throughout my life, but my favorite was playing for my high school team because it was less pressure, and I was allowed to have fun. Although I no longer play soccer, I like to go to the gym to stay strong and active. I sometimes still think about playing again but then I remember how hard I was on myself which is ultimately the reason why I quit and didn't continue in college. I continue my love from the sidelines and I'm sure my younger self is a little disappointed I didn't make it to the women's national team but, I now am able to take the time and enjoy other things in life.

I always find it difficult to write introductions about myself. When I sit and reflect on my life I feel as if there's nothing special and my likes/ interests are either boring or common. I like going to the beach and late-night drives with my friends. I love to listen to music, journal and take naps. These are all typical things and are nothing too special but then I remember I was an extra on a Netflix TV show, I wore a purple feather dress to prom, and played in a national championship for soccer when I was thirteen. So maybe my life is not as boring as I tend to think.

I am an Advertising and Public Relations major with a minor in marketing. I hope to one day work in the fashion or the film industry. I want my future career to be a space where I can be creative and professional, and an overall environment where I can be myself. I think this class will teach me many skills that I can use to excel in my future career. I am excited to work with Adobe and am looking forward to the weather getting warmer and am very excited for the rest of this semester!
