Learn Illustrator in 5 MINUTES! Beginner Tutorial

https://youtu.be/3GzumUieDPY

- This video was a short beginner tutorial that introduced the look and layout of illustrator. The narrator started off the video by introducing the tools on the right side. He showed the rectangle tool, star tool and the pen tool. He mainly focused on making shapes and filling them in with color. I think the shape tools will be easy to use as the automatically make the shapes. The hardest tool that I need to learn to use is the pen tool. It can be tricky to use and will take time to learn each function. Lastly, the T for type tool seems pretty easy as it inserts text on the screen.

Illustrator Beginner Tutorial: Simple Letter Logos

https://youtu.be/ymBosZVeRc8?feature=shared

- In this video the narrator showed logo techniques when making a letter logo. He demonstrated how to make the letter P and design the colors inside. He focused on the ellipse tool and dropper tool. The ellipse tool made a circle, and the dropper tool was able to fill the inside of the shape. The narrator also showed how to adjust the number of pixels. I think this will be hard, as it is difficult to know the exact size of shape that I am looking for. I thought the color process of creating the logo was very interesting. The video showed how-to make it ombré and different colors. which overall made the logo look aesthetically pleasing.

How to Use the Pen in Adobe Illustrator

-  It may take some time to adjust to using modifiers such as the Anchor Point tool when curving our illustrations, such as bouncing back and forth from the Alt key to do so, but hopefully nothing too challenging. To go along with this, I believe the Direct Selection tool is perfect for when running into trouble with breaking the handles, as it smoothly perfects your curves and edits from the Anchor Point tool. Not to mention it can change the position of your anchor points to exactly where you’d like to go. Another great tool is the Curvature Tool as it automatically creates different types of curves that look good. Overall, the most interesting piece of information I found about this video is where you can bounce back and forth from tools while still being in the Pen tool just by clicking the Alt key. This seems like a feature that just eases your transitions and doesn’t constantly have you manually clicking different tools to work on an illustration.
