Calligramme

 

This Calligramme is my artwork that represents what I want in my future as well as words to my future-self integrated into my work. My artwork's main focal point is a light house that serves as a home to the letter I wrote to my future self. The lighthouse itself represents where I want to live by in the future, such as the beach or any body of water. I also chose to highlight important words such as Career, Paris, Greece, and Goals. The words Career and Goals being set in the middle represent what I find most important for my future. Paris and Greece are two places I would like to visit, one being a city and the other being a country. I also made the outside structure of the lighthouse words of love and care, as that represents the foundation, I want my life to be built on.  

My artwork stemmed from a sketch that I drew in my sketchbook. I then used Adobe Illustrator and put my sketch in Layer 2 so I could trace my sketch with the pen tool. The main tool I used was pen to text, then I would copy and paste my favorite lines from my letter.
